Compassion fatigue is a tough reality that as health care workers we may all face! You’re right we have to find a balance between work and life. It’s good to be aware of the signs of compassion fatigue so that we can reflect on ourselves during our practice and realize when it may be time to take a break. When we burnout at work it influences our personal lives. We need to look at where we can find support whether that be with coworkers, friends, or counseling. Self-care helps us to better care for us. There are so many factors that influence compassion fatigue and some of the are within our control and some of them are within our employers and union control. Loved the theater and the acting. Awesome work teams !
